Executive DirectorThe Greenburgh Housing Authority (GHA) oversees 131 units of State funded public housing units and 115 units of Federally funded public housing in the Town of Greenburgh. In addition, GHA has a Section 8 Program servicing up to 303 vouchers. The Executive Director position reports directly to the Board of Commissioners of the Greenburgh Housing Authority. This position will require a highly motivated individual who can exercise independent judgment within the framework of established policy and existing laws governing housing authorities. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years experience in housing management, facility management or public administration. The ideal candidate should possess strong supervisory skills, strong financial background including budgetary experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, program development experience, be knowledgeful of HUD and DHCR rules and regulations and have experience involving Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Programs and property management. Candidates must be PHM certified or able to attain certification within one year of hire. Candidates will be rated and ranked based on criteria stated in the request for proposal (RFP).
